Privacy Policy

QuirkyLinks is operated by 2NMS, registered under company number BE0873822817, in Zaventem, Belgium. For any question about your personal data, or to exercise any of the rights described below, contact us at quinn@quirkylinks.com. This paragraph identifies the data controller for the purposes of applicable data protection law.

We collect the email address you sign in with, the links you save — including their title, description, favicon and any notes or tags you add — and basic account settings such as your display name and list density. We do not collect analytics events, device fingerprints, or any browsing history beyond the links you explicitly choose to save.

A link you delete stays recoverable for 7 days before it's permanently removed by a daily automated job, so a mistaken delete can still be undone. Deleting your whole account removes your links, tags and favourites immediately — there is no 7-day recovery window in that case. Operational audit records, used for security and abuse investigation, are retained without a fixed expiry.

You can export everything you've saved at any time as JSON, CSV, or browser-compatible bookmarks HTML from Settings, and delete your account and its data permanently from the same page. For any other request about your personal data, contact us using the details above.

The only cookies QuirkyLinks sets are strictly-necessary authentication cookies used to keep you signed in. No analytics, telemetry, session-replay or heatmap tool is installed anywhere in this application, so there is nothing else to disclose and no cookie prompt is shown.

Terms of Service

By creating a QuirkyLinks account you agree to these terms. They're written in plain language on purpose — QuirkyLinks is a small, single-purpose tool, not a platform with a legal team behind every clause.

You're responsible for the links you save and for keeping your sign-in access to your own account secure. One person, one account — accounts aren't meant to be shared.

Don't use QuirkyLinks to save or share anything illegal, and don't attempt to abuse, overload, or reverse-engineer the service. We may suspend an account that does either.

QuirkyLinks is provided as-is. We aim for it to be fast and reliable, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted availability, and we're not liable for losses arising from downtime or data loss beyond what's reasonably within our control.

We may update these terms as the product changes. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date; continuing to use QuirkyLinks after a change means you accept the update.

Who We Share Data With

We use a small number of external services to run QuirkyLinks. None of them receive your saved links for any purpose beyond what's described here.

  • Supabase — our database, authentication and file storage provider.
  • Vercel — hosting and DNS for quirkylinks.com.
  • Resend — delivers our transactional email, including magic-link sign-in emails.
  • Sentry — error tracking, with any URLs in error reports redacted before they reach it.
  • Google — used only for Google OAuth sign-in, never for anything else.
  • ImprovMX — forwards mail sent to quinn@quirkylinks.com to our team inbox.
  • OpenAI — generates the tags Quinn suggests for a link you save, using its URL, title and description.

Quinn and AI

Quinn is the name we give QuirkyLinks' voice — the wording you see in the app and in the emails we send you. Quinn is not a person, and messages signed by Quinn are not written by one on the spot.

When you save a link, Quinn sends its address, title, description and the tag names already in that scope to OpenAI, which suggests up to five tags back. Every suggestion appears on the link as a removable, clearly-marked tag before it counts as yours — nothing is added silently. OpenAI keeps this data for up to 30 days under its own abuse-monitoring policy, which is separate from how long QuirkyLinks itself keeps your links.

Beyond generating those tag suggestions, no AI model reads, summarises, or is trained on your saved links. Titles and descriptions you see in the app are read from the page you saved, not generated.

QuirkyLinks is built and maintained by one developer working with AI coding assistants. That affects how the software is written, not what happens to your data.
